I was invited to display my photos at the international photo exhibition called Interfoto. This is my third participation out of four Interfoto editions.
I chosed to display 3 pictures dedicated to Oravita – Anina railroad, the oldest railroad in Romania and one of the most beautifull railroads in our country.
Unfortunatley it’s situation is unclear now, waiting to be sold or rented because it is no longer profitable for the national railroad company (CFR)
Interfoto is an event made by the cooperation between the German city of Pirmasens and Timisoara.
Photographers from Austria, Germany , Italy , Romania and Hungary displayed their works in the city of Timisoara and will also move to Arad next month.
Here you can find some pictures from the opening
The event is brought in Timisoara by Harald Kroher , multiple gold medalist at the highest international photo competition Trierberger Photo Circuit The largest photo exhibition in Europe “Fototage Pirmasens” takes place in Pirmasens, having Harald Kroher as organizer.
He came a few days earlier in Timisoara and I had the pleasure to participate in two small workshops with him and his profesional model Nala.
The first one – “Photo & Fashion” took place at Iulius Mall where we had the chance to warm up with some ambient-light shots of the models on a catwalk and after that we worked in a profesional studio setup with an octobox, a softbox and a beaty dish. Harald guided us over the camera settings (even custom white balance) and the model poses, everything was setup fast and the results were interesting.
The second workshop took place the next day at the Faculty of Arts and Design and it was themed “Beauty & Dancing” We had Nala and three balerinas to pose for us. We started with some ambient light pictures with designer clothes and some classical nude in ambiental light and after that we used a profesional studio setup with an octobox, a softbox and a beaty dish. We photographed Nala separatley and togheter with the balerinas in diferent setups. My ambiental light images seemed a bit overexposed but i trusted Harald with the settings, which afterwards proved to be perfect for black and white conversion. The only images which i left in color were the ones with the Coca-Cola dress which is realy powerfull in color .
The results were really nice considering everything had to be improvised at the spot – as this was just a demo workshop (which does not happen in regular workshops hosted by Harald)
I am left with a really good impresion, I had a great time and I even learned some small new things
Thank you Harald Kroher for your time spent here !
